Sour, The debut album of 18 years old singer and actress Olivia Rodrigo, has been on top of the charts for many days. The album is 34 minutes and 46 seconds long and comprises 11 songs. The overall theme of the album is about a breakup and sadness. Here’s what I think of the album.
The album is rumored to be about Rodrigo’s ex-boyfriend Joshua Basset and Sabrina Carpenter. Compared to Rodrigo’s debut single Driver’s License, The album impacted my audio receptors better. Although I don't really prefer the breakup theme when it comes to music, the harmonies and the music were really catchy. The songs individually don't speak much, but really complement each other when in the album. I really feel that the music was ruined due to its excessive use in various tik-toks. I would also like to compare this album to Taylor Swift’s album 1989, which was rumored to be written about Harry Styles. Overall, I rate the album a 7.5 out of 10 and if I had to choose I would pick Deja Vu and Good 4 u as my favorites for this particular album.
