BOOK REVIEW- Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice is a famous classic written by Jane Austen. It follows the character development of its protagonist Elizabeth Bennet and her Love interest Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy. Set in the early 19th century in England, where Mr. Bennet, a resident of Hertfordshire aspires to marry his 5 daughters off to wealthy families.

At the start, the book was not very well written but as soon as familiarity with the characters was established, it became easier to comprehend what was happening and became way more interesting.

The introduction of too many characters at the start made the story confusing as there was no proper character sketch. The mystery of marriage was unique and engrossing. The interaction between love interests was interesting. Jane was very clever in using the enemies-to-lovers trope as it is very engrossing for romance readers.

I'm no literature expert or someone who has read a lot of classics, but as a reader who worships books found the movie a better alternative to reading the book for getting to know the characters and the plot better as it would be easier to picturise the scenarios.

Overall, the book was good but I'm not satisfied with it being one of the most famous novels ever. I would rate the book 7/10.
