BOOK REVIEW- It Starts With Us
It Starts With Us is a romance novel by Colleen Hoover, Published on October 18, 2022. It's a sequel to her best - Selling book, It Ends with Us from 2016. Hoover wrote the novel as a thank you to her fans for the first novel. The book is a New York Times bestseller of 2022. From love and loss to betrayal and redemption, this book has it all. But what makes it so good is the author's ability to weave together this seamless plot and narrative. Let's look at my thoughts on the book-
Let's start off with talking about Colleen Hoover, and her amazing writing skills, it is not easy to continue a story that already has So many lovers, so I should just say that her writing a sequel was an extremely brave action. But as it seems, the book is not all sunshine and rainbows. The book might be very well written but the characters, especially Ryle, seem to have very childish behavior. The only reason I'm writing this is that I'm very disappointed that this is the sequel to one of my favorite books. Small details like Ryle interfering too much in Atlas' life and Trying to abuse Lily again and again despite apologizing several times. This review will be short because I'm having a writing block and do not have much talent for criticizing. Another thing that put me off was trying to add Josh and Theo as new characters, it just wasn't flattering at all.
Overall, I would rate the book a 6/10. The book was vague in front of the previous one and it doesn't live up to the Colleen Hoover standards.
