BOOK REVIEW- A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime
A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime, a novel by Monica Murphy, was released in 2022. It’s a romance/young adult novel that follows the enemies-to-lovers story of two high school students- Wren Beaumont and Crew Lancaster. The book was all over my Instagram and I couldn't resist the aesthetics. Now that I’ve finished the book, I cannot resist myself, I have to review this book. Let’s start-
The novel’s title is soon justified in the book as the protagonist, Wren Beaumont, an art connoisseur, wants to buy an expensive painting with the same title, but is unable to do so due to her “family problems”. Family isn’t the only problem that Wren starts with, she gets paired with Crew Lancaster, the high school bad boy who has hated her for 3 years, but would it be the case? What started for Crew as a challenge, turns out to be something he would not get off his mind forever. Forced to do a psychology assignment together, they discovered each other’s true nature and even went on to tell their deepest, darkest secrets they wouldn’t tell anyone.
Though I would issue a little explicit warning before reading this book, from the rich private school aesthetic to the enemies-to-lovers trope, this book has everything I want and if you are ready to ignore the you-know-what scenes in this book, do read it, I insist. The little twists and turns are what makes this book so hard to put down, I legit completed it in a few days.
Overall, there is nothing negative I have to say, It’s literally a fantasy of every high school girl to ever exist and for Wren Beaumont, it came true. The book has love, money, power, and heated relationships all in one. So, giving this book anything less than a 10 is unfair.
